An artist that uses a variety of media to express ideas for creative impact. My mission is artistic inspiration from the inside out, whether it's poetry, painting, choreography, holistic cosmetology, family, or community, I strive to fuel my creative mediums with love, passion, truth, presence, and balance.

"Now if losing that weight is what you need,
That's your choice. I bid you peace.
But every woman has her gifts to bring,
Learn your song. Make it sing."
"You have dreams planted in soul,
God gave you gold,
And you protected this treasure"
"...Leather brined faces,
Cracked from tears and time,
Moor our journey as we travel through the lines,
That meander on ancestral faces,
And guide us to our destiny places."

2003 I won 2nd place in this California hair show but I was excited because my model Mrs. Johnson, was the only one with locs!
2005 I competed and won 1st Place. I performed poetry and did a tribute to Nannie Helen Boroughs in my set. Hair shows are fun because I get to be super creative! I'm seen here with Taliah Waajid, my teacher and natural hair pioneer and model (one of my besties) Sharon Moore.
Although I've performed as a belly dancer and poet extensively over the years and minored in dance at CSU Dominguez Hills, AFRICOPIA DANCE FITNESS was birthed out of a need to stay fit as a new mom, while I was homeschooling my son. I naturally embrace a diaspora of music and my dance style fuses Carribean, Latin, and North African styles. It's been an honor to share this side of my creativity with my clients at some of their special events.
I get a warm feeling all over, every time I remember this event. My friend and mentor Apryl Brown came all the way from Cali to support our event in Atlanta. Apryl hired me right out of cosmetology school when she had her salon. She ended up being our keynote speaker and blew everyone away with her testimony and story.
This was a dream come true. Gifts Of Abundant Living Symposium was catalyzed by a conversation with a client about the lack of Rite of Passage for our youth. I started writing down some ideas and sharing them with our village and G.O.A.L.S was born.
I've been a fan of this event curated and produced by Kemi Bennings and directed by Pastor Christy Robinson for years and had the opportunity to be featured doing poetry, singing back up and supporting in dance . I shared the stage with some incredibly talented women.
